Meet The CMB Podcast

I'm looking forward to having the new podcast go live at iTunes in a few weeks.

I'm still working on getting that set-up. This is the first time I've ever done this, so there's quite a learning curve. Don't tell anybody though...

When it does go live you'll see interviews with Rick Cua, Noel Richards,Tifah Philips (Page CXVI), Will McFarlane and more...

For now, check out the podcast's SoundCloud profile by clicking on the CMB photo to your left...

At SoundCloud, I plan to do audio uploads that will only be there...

Monday Mix (4)

podcastMy Monday Mix

It's great to be back from a wonderful week of praying and getting clarity on some things.

Because of my retreat, I didn't post anything for a week. I figured a Monday Mix post would be appropriate to kick things off again.

As usual, I plan on aggregating just a few things into one post.

Blog Roundup with CD Giveaway

roundup

It's time for a little blogger round-up.

Last fall I immersed myself in ten different blogs during the month of November. I carefully selected blogs where I knew I would learn something I needed to apply as a worship leader and songwriter.

Even though I only wrote a few posts about my little 30 day commitment, it was greatly beneficial.

In this post I do a little round-up of some of my favorite posts from the ones that were specifically about music and/or worship leading. There are also a few posts that were recently written that are worth pointing out, such as the new Chris Tomlin CD give-away...

Worship Song Set

Set List Sunday (24)

This is my 24th worship song set posted here on the blog, and the first one of 2013. It's hard to believe that a new year is upon us!

This morning I'm thankful for the Church. There's nothing like corporate worship on the Lord's Day.

Being able to celebrate the good news every week with the people of God is a gift I don't want to take for granted. And the reality that I get to play a small part in leading these people humbles me.

We get to behold the beauty of God today! That is truly an awesome reality.

This year I want to be a person of One Thing. I hope and pray that my leadership as a worshiper of Jesus is marked by a single desire for Jesus. I hope for David's prayer to be my own in 2013.

One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.

(Psalm 27:4 ESV)

Today's Worship Song Set

Hosanna (Paul Baloche)

Nothing But The Blood (Boswell version)

In Christ Alone (Ghetty/Townend)

Your Great Name (Krissy Nordhoff)

10,000 Reasons (Matt Redman)

What songs did you do?

If you're reading this after you've worshiped with your church, I'd love to know what songs you did today. Come over to the blog and Let me know!

Happy New Year!

2013

Can you believe it?!

Time flies right? Here we are with another year over, and a whole new adventure in front of us.

I pray God's richest blessings on you as you pursue Christ and all He has called you to this year.

If I could leave you with one piece of advice, as we venture into the new year, it would be this: Resolve to believe God so much that you to step out and do things that would otherwise scare you to death.

In other words don't let fear hold you back. God is with you. Go for it!

Looking Back

Here are my top posts from the blog in 2012...

My Top Five Goals for 2013

  1. To spend more time in the mornings with Jesus
  2. To spend more time with my wife
  3. To spend more time with my son
  4. To write more songs and blog posts
  5. To play more gigs

That's it for me. What are your goals?
