Hi there!

If you're reading this, you probably know me and my family pretty well or we've been in touch at some point during our lives.

Or maybe you've just stumbled across this blog because you found me on social media....

Whatever the case may be, I want to share with you why my family and I just packed up everything we owned and moved 1,000 miles to be a part of a new church called Church of the King.

It's a brand new church, and God is doing some incredible things, but it's still a baby, and we need your support....

WHY ANOTHER CHURCH IN THE SOUTH?

There are a lot of churches in Texas. In fact, more than 3,100 are located in the Houston area alone!

So why would we move away from everything we know and love, with no job offer, to join up with a church plant?

And does the south really need another church?

Recently the city of Houston surpassed New York as the most ethnically diverse city in the country. Whether it's for big oil, medical advancements, or other opportunities, the nations are literally moving to Houston - and they're moving fast. Jesus said make disciples of all nations, and we can do that right here in our own back yard!

If you took all the church facilities in the Houston Metropolitan area and filled them ten times over, there would still be millions of people to reach for Christ.

So could Houston use another church? The answer is a resounding yes.

OUR EXCITING ROLE

Church of the King is not your average church plant. The story of how over 50 people moved here from another church in Louisiana is so cool (we will share that story another day....)

But we're now 18 weeks in and growing quickly with stories of lives being changed.

The church's vision is very simple. It's carrying out what Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28, just before he ascended into Heaven.

"Go into all the world, and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you..."

Boys and their bikes, shots of the worship team, little hands helping tear down after the service, and Pastor J's congregational selfie.... It's always a good time! Watch this space for more photos of our work with Church of the King coming soon....

So that's what we're all about:

Reaching people, building lives....

My role is leading an awesome team in the area of worship and creative arts. Right now we're raising our own support, and we would love for you to pray about joining a growing team of awesome supporters. At some point (most likely within the next two years) I will be hired to serve on staff full time.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN JOIN OUR TEAM:

We're very serious about meeting with people in person before they give financially to support us. It's a value of ours to build kingdom partnerships. If we can simply share the vision with you and put you on a private prayer list, that's a huge win in our minds! We need all the prayer support we can get before we have financial support!

please fill out the secure form BELOW TO GET STARTED

This is much more than a money thing.

We need faithful friends who will join us in encouragement, and regular prayer.

Having said that, building a team of generous financial supporters is an obvious goal of ours.

Beneath the form you can see our most recent financial update, showing how much we've raised, the remaining need, and detailed descriptions of the need below.

Once you fill out the form, I will reach out to you personally to plan a time for us to talk more. We so look forward to having you join us!

Lastly...

Thank you.

If you actually just read all of the above, it means you care. People don't generally stop long enough to take the time that's needed to really absorb all that is presented in opportunities like this. It requires sacrifice in more than just the financial sense, but the emotional sense too. We are so incredibly grateful to our team. They are shouldering much for us as we follow God.

If you joined our team, we would of course be so grateful, but even just having you read this means the world to us.

We pray God's richest blessings on you!

In Christ,

The Fanchers

FINANCIAL UPDATE AS OF MAY, 2016

MOVING BUDGET

Before we moved to Texas we were required to raise at least $12,000. This way we would have the cushion necessary to live and work with the church plant, all while raising ongoing monthly support. We praise and thank God that he provided through the generous support of people like you!

Monthly Budget

We are raising the funds to cover our salary ($60,000 per year) for the next 2 years. This includes health care coverage, savings and retirement, and regular living expenses for a family of five in Katy, TX. Church of the King was the first to commit their support for $1,000 a month.
